How to Brew

  1. Use approximately 2 g of tea per serving.
  2. Quickly rinse the leaves once with hot water.
  3. Add 150 ml of hot water.
  4. Steep for approximately 3 minutes.
  5. Strain and enjoy.
  6. Re-infuse the leaves several times to experience how the flavour develops with each brew.

Tip: Best enjoyed without milk to appreciate its delicate floral aroma and naturally mellow character.

About Sinhapitiya Estate

Nestled among the peaks and valleys of Gampola in Sri Lanka's beautiful mid-country, Sinhapitiya Estate is surrounded by lush landscapes, rich soil and a climate ideally suited to growing tea, coffee and spices.

The estate has a remarkable agricultural heritage dating back to 1824, when the land formed part of the pioneering coffee plantations associated with George Bird and the early development of Ceylon's plantation industry.

Following the decline of coffee and the rise of Ceylon tea, the estate evolved into a diverse landscape where tea, coffee and local spices are cultivated. Today, Sinhapitiya combines this historic heritage with artisanal craftsmanship, producing distinctive teas that reflect the character of Sri Lanka's fertile mid-country.

Returns Policy
